Vallisneria

There are several different variations of vallisneria currently available on the market such as Vallisneria americana, vallisneria spiralis and vallisneria natans. The many variations of vallisneria are often referred to as jungle val, vallis and eel grass. Most of it’s variations are very similar and as a result they are often mislabelled. Jungle val will do very well in an aquarium with little to no fertilisation and low to high strength lights, jungle val is such a hardy plant that it can even be floated in the aquarium and will still grow very quickly!

Jungle val spreads by use of runners and is an extremely fast grower, in optimal conditions a red coloration can be achieved. If good fertilisation is dosed, high powered lights are provided and co2 is dosed jungle val can send off a new runner every other day I highly recommend this plant!
